FIRST AID LEVEL 1
Purpose of Course: To enable staff members of companies to carry out the tasks of a First Aider within the workplace according to the requirements of the OHS Act 85 of 1993. Target Group: General Employees, individuals, tourist guides, teachers. Course Outline: 1. Emergency Scene Management 2. The Primary Survey 3. Management of shock 4. The Medical casualty CPR for adult casualties (2016 Guidelines)
BASIC PROGRAM INFORMATION
BABY BASICS, developed by the Resuscitation Council of Southern Africa, is a one-hour orientation program. This program has been designed to equip parents and families on handling CPR and choking emergencies specifically focuses on INFANTS and NEWBORN BABIES.
FIRST AID ESSENTIALS FOR CHILDREN
The FIRST AID ESSENTIALS FOR CHILDREN course is intended primarily for those who are expected to provide CPR and first aid directly to children. The course targets all lay responders such as parents, caregivers, guardians and all others who that are in involved in childcare wanting to learn first aid essentials for children.
CPR FOR PROFESSIONALS
CPR for Professionals is a locally produced course designed to teach the skills of CPR and choking for victims of all ages, including ventilation with barrier devices, pocket masks, bag-valve-mask devices with supplemental oxygen, and the use of Automated External Defibrillators to all healthcare providers in both hospital and out of hospital settings.
